Great stuff. My wife and I are in the middle of rethinking many things because of NT Wright and others. The "coming " of the Son of Man.... being a key for us. If anyone can point us in directions to get a handle how 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10 specifically looking forward to punishment (wrath that is "coming", to come..., etc. plays into his view of the Coming of the Son having already begun. maybe, links to other articles about the "Rapture" we were raised to believe this-- but really want to rethink. You've pointed out a number of Wright's themes from a number of his works and shared a number of the impressions they've left on your theology and study of scripture. And I had forgotten that bit in Climax of the Covenant where Wright encourages us to not deny Paul his fun, but to let him remain free and splendidly inconsistent. Spot on.
